愛與痛  中國現場藝術 

 
針對命名「愛與痛」的活動而做的行為。在活動進行當中﹐我悄然躺在觀眾腳下﹐用雙手圈住他/她的腳﹐兩人就這麼共處一段時間﹐直到觀眾抽離雙腳離開我的懷抱為 止。當被圈住的對象/觀眾離去後﹐我便啟身恢復站姿﹐並繼續尋找下一位意欲圈住的對象。

 It’s a performance done in an event entitled as Love & Pain.  During the event, I walked among the audience and quietly lied down to hold the feet of an audience with my arms.  We stayed together in this position for a certain period of time.  It ended up when the audience walked away from my “hugs,” and left my surrounding arms empty.  Then I stood up again and looked for next audience to hold.

在古老吵嚷擁擠的茶館裡﹐人們忙著玩牌﹐打麻將﹐喝茶﹐嗑瓜子聊天﹐我安靜地將紅毛線纏到手上﹐然後在狹小的走道間倒著走。

In a crowded noisy old Chinese tea house where people play cards, Ma Jang, drink tea, and talk loudly, I quietly wrapped my fingers and hand with red yarn and walked backward through the narrow aisles.

我矇住雙眼﹐端坐椅上﹐隨時間流逝﹐身體自頭﹐頸﹐肩﹐胸﹐腹部慢慢往下垂落直至身體從椅上瞬間摔落桌面﹐再自桌上爬下地面﹐爬離桌子。所有動作均以十分緩慢幾近令人不察的速度進行。

With eyes folded, I sit upright on the chair.  With the flowing of time, I let down of my head, neck, shoulders, chest, belly in a very quiet and slow motion, and then fell suddenly from the chair to the table with a very loud sound.  Then I slowly climbed down from the table to the ground, and kept crawling away from the table.

我在運河一座中國古橋旁幫一位長髮男子拔白髮﹐讓他頭上不留白。而且也以此作讓我和他在2004年的人生「不留白」。

I pick white hair for a long-haired man beside an ancient bridge on a canal.  Let his head bu liu bai (not keep white).  And also let both of our life bu liu bai (do something worthwhile to remember) in the year of 2004.
